Why Imaging Is Essential for Pet Health

Pets can’t tell us where it hurts, but veterinary imaging allows us to look inside the body without surgery or invasive procedures. From identifying the cause of limping to assessing organ health and heart function, imaging plays a vital role in early detection, accurate diagnosis, and effective treatment planning.

And when time matters, access to on-site radiology and local mobile imaging means we don’t wait for answers. Our veterinary radiology, ultrasound, and echocardiogram services give us a clearer view of your pet’s health, helping us diagnose conditions accurately and treat them quickly. We get the information we need — so your pet can get the care they need, sooner.

Types of Pet Imaging We Offer

Whether your pet needs answers fast or long-term health monitoring, our imaging services ensure every diagnosis starts with clarity and care.

Radiology (X-Rays)

We offer on-site digital X-rays to evaluate:

  • Fractures and broken bones
  • Joint issues like arthritis or hip dysplasia
  • Tumors or abnormal growths
  • Ingested foreign objects
  • Respiratory or digestive tract concerns

Our digital technology delivers crisp, high-resolution images with minimal exposure and fast processing, so our veterinarians can assess results and start treatment right away.

Ultrasound

For a closer look at the body’s soft tissues and internal organs, we partner with Infinity Imaging, a trusted local mobile provider. These advanced procedures are performed by board-certified radiologists and cardiologists using world-class equipment — right here at our hospital.

Ultrasound imaging helps us evaluate:
  • Abdominal organs (liver, kidneys, bladder, spleen)
  • Masses or internal bleeding
  • Pregnancy
  • Fluid buildup

Please note: Ultrasound appointments require a deposit and at least 2 business days’ notice for any changes or cancellations, per Infinity Imaging’s policy.

Echocardiograms

Echocardiograms provide in-depth insight into heart structure and function, supporting diagnosis and management of cardiac conditions in both dogs and cats.
